ORGANISATIONAL INFORMATION


  1. Paper presentations

Conference session will be held in conference room 1 on the ground floor. All presentations during the Conference will be in Polish. Our colleague, mgr Magdalena Kurowska speaks fluent English and will help you understand all the presentations and issues raised during the discussion.

Presenters will have at their disposal computers with projectors and a microphone. In order to make the most of the discussion time, we kindly ask for the duration of the presentation not to exceed 15 minutes.



  1. Competitions during the Conference


Two Competitions will be held during the Conference: for the best paper presented by the Young Academic and for the Best poster whose topic is related to the development of SMEs.


  1. Contest for Young Academics for the best paper

Papers submitted by Young Academics (Doctoral students) will be assessed during the conference by means of voting among the conference participants. The competitions comprises of two stages:



  • first stage – votes can be cast using the blue cards included in the conference pack. Please note on the voting card three papers, which in your opinion should be presented during the competition session. Votes can be cast until 3pm on Tuesday 24.05.2011.

  • second stage is the presentation session for five Authors, who were selected in the first stage. Paper presentations will be held during the competition session on Tuesday, 24.05.2011 6pm – 7.30pm. The voting for the best paper will take place by selecting one paper on the voting card, given to the participants of the session at the start.

The competition winner will receive a special prize – invitation (all-inclusive coverage of participation costs) to the V Annual National Conference in the Managing Organisational Development series and book prizes. All finalists (who were invited to the second stage) will receive free massage at the hotel, certificates, book prizes and special prizes funded by BGŻ Bank.

We invite you to read the selected papers submitted by Young Academics taking part in the competition – the list is attached to this programme and we invite you to vote. Abovementioned papers can be found at the conference website: www.konferencjakz.p.lodz.pl/?Konkursy and will be Publisher in the conference pack.




  1. Exhibition and competition for the best poster whose topic is related to managing the development of SMEs

An exhibition will be held during the Conference, presenting posters, whose topics are related to the problems of managing the development of SMEs. These posters were prepared both by the Conference participants, as well as others, not taking part in this event, but whose academic interests are related to the subject.

The posters will present the academic achievements, research results, theoretical models and other topics related to the management of the development of SMEs. The exhibition can be visited in the vicinity of the conference room and the Conference reception area. We hope it will prove valuable not only due to aesthetic aspects, but also as an inspiration for further scientific debate.

The exhibition is linked to the competition for the best poster. Therefore we kindly invite you to visit the exhibition and select three best posters. The voting will be conducted using the yellow cards included in the conference pack. Voting closes at 3pm, on 24.05.2011.

Votes will help identify three finalists. The winner will receive a cash prize, while all finalists will receive certificates, book prizes and special prizes funded by BGŻ Bank.
Urns for the completed voting cards for both competitions can be found in the vicinity of the conference room and the Conference reception. The colours will match the voting cards – blue urn (Young Academics competition) and yellow urn (poster competition).
