Ist Circular and Call for Papers

It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to attend the IX Symposium Trace Elements – Criteria of Environmental Quality which is to be held from May 11 to 12., 2006 in Holiday Resort TVP in Sarnówek (http://www.owtvp-sarnowek.noclegiw.pl/angielski/6735.html), situated in Landscape Park at Jeziorak Lake shore, 13 km from Iława (a big railway station on a way between Warsaw and Gdansk) in the middle of Poland. The Symposium is organized by Scientific Committees of Polish Academy of Sciences, University of Warmia & Mazury in Olsztyn, Institute of Soil Science & Plant Cultivation in Puławy, Polish Geological Institute in Warsaw and Institute of Agricultural and Food Biotechnology in Warsaw. The language of the Symposium will be Polish and English.

Deadlines:

- 31.12.2005 registration and two pages summary to be published as one number of scientific journal Inzynieria Ekologiczna (instruction on the Symposium web page).

- 31.01.2006 submission of the manuscript. Contributions will be published in Polish Journal of Environmental Studies (IF = 0,461 in 2004). Instruction for authors can be found on the web site http://www.pjoes.com. The price of publication is 19 EURO per one page of manuscript paid after acceptance for publication. The figures and tables are considered as one page of manuscript.

- 31.03.2006 fee payment. Registration fee amounts to 350 PLN and covers: Symposium attendance, materials (abstracts), accommodation and meals and transport between Iława and Sarnówek.


Trace elements in the parts of the environment, including food chain, significantly influence the ecological balance and human health. A lot of information on both hazardous and deficient quantities of many elements in the environment and food has been already produced. Completing the data, discussing, comparing to those from other countries will create valuable contribution of the Symposium to assessment of the quality of Polish environment.
